Chargers’ Austin Ekeler desires to talk to different groups
Frustrated by the tempo of talks on an extension, the agent for working again Austin Ekeler is searching for permission from the Chargers to talk to different groups.
Cameron Weiss confirmed the request simply minutes into the free-agent negotiating interval that started 9 a.m. Monday.
Ekeler has a base wage of $6.25 million in 2023, the ultimate season of a four-year, $24.5-million extension he signed in March 2020.
The deal ranks fifteenth in common annual worth amongst NFL working backs.
