Giannis Antetokounmpo out for streaking Bucks towards Suns

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t play Sunday towards the Phoenix Suns due to a quad harm, coach Mike Budenholzer stated.

He shall be changed within the lineup by Bobby Portis.

Antetokounmpo sustained the harm Friday evening within the first quarter of the Bucks’ 128-99 victory over the Miami Heat. He performed six minutes on Friday and had 4 factors, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

“It’s enough where he can’t play today, but I think we’re also confident that this is a fairly common occurrence in our league,” Budenholzer instructed reporters. “You hit knees, you knock, sometimes it takes a day or two and it’s really nothing more than that. The level of conversations have all been along that line.”

The victory was the Bucks’ thirteenth in a row, marking the longest successful streak within the NBA this season.

Antetokounmpo is ranked fourth within the NBA this season with 31.3 factors per sport and second in rebounding with 12 per sport.

ESPN’s Jamal Collier contributed to this report.
