Julien Gomez and La Mirada beat Foothill in boys’ basketball


Sophomore Julien Gomez, averaging 26.6 factors per recreation, placed on a second-half scoring blitz to guide La Mirada to a 53-50 upset victory over Foothill on Monday night time at Bellflower St. John Bosco.

Gomez completed with 30 factors. He scored the primary 9 factors of the third quarter to wipe out a nine-point deficit.

Foothill got here in at 20-1. La Mirada improved to 17-6.
