Scout Willis Says She’s ‘In Awe’ Of Loving Response To Bruce Willis’ New Diagnosis

Scout Willis stated she was “a bit overwhelmed” by response to her father Bruce Willis’ new medical analysis of frontotemporal dementia, or FTD.

“Feeling emotionally tired and a bit overwhelmed, yet also very in awe of the love so many people have for my papa,” Scout stated in a photograph posted on her Instagram story Thursday after her household launched an announcement saying the “Die Hard” actor’s analysis.

The actor’s spouse, Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore and Willis’ daughters Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn, later spoke concerning the situation.

“FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone,” the household stated in an announcement posted on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration web site. “For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know.”

“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces,” the household assertion continued. “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

Willis’ household introduced final yr that “The Sixth Sense” actor had been identified with aphasia, a situation that sometimes happens after a head damage or stroke, and stated he can be retiring from appearing.

“We know in our hearts that — if he could today ― he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connectedness with those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it impacts so many individuals and their families,” the household stated.
