A devoted fan of “The Goonies” is trying to deliver new life to one of many movie’s important places almost 40 years after the film premiered in 1985.
That fan is Kansas businessman Behman Zakeri, who bought the house, which was listed for greater than $1.6 million, in December. Zakeri instructed the Washington Post on Tuesday that he desires to revive the Astoria, Ore., abode to its “Goonies” glory as a haven for fellow followers.
“I’m just super excited to try to be the best I can be for the ‘Goonies’ community,” he instructed the Post.

Actor Robert Davi, who portrayed Jake, tweeted at Zakeri that “There should be a 40 [anniversary] there” on the Oregon residence.
