Tom Izzo speaks at vigil for Michigan State taking pictures victims

Longtime Michigan State males’s basketball coach Tom Izzo was considered one of many college and state dignitaries who spoke on the college’s vigil Wednesday for the victims of a mass taking pictures on campus Monday that claimed the lives of three victims and injured 5 extra.

Izzo spoke for practically seven minutes from ready remarks, providing his and his household’s condolences to the victims and their households and praising college students and first responders whose actions Monday evening helped stem the lack of life. 

He additionally urged college students to lean on one another and on the varsity for help as they course of Monday’s tragedy.

“I can’t begin to imagine what all of you are going through,” Izzo stated. “But I do know that we as a campus community can offer our support both to you and to each other. Look around. Look next to you. Shake somebody’s hand. Introduce yourself to somebody you don’t know. That’s who we are, and that’s who we need to be at this time.”
